Watch Review
Pros

Fully upgradeable

Excellent Linux support

Great display for a 13.5 inch laptop

The best selection of ports of any laptop

No bloatware

Comfortable keyboard

Cons

Expensive for what it is

Looks and feels like a budet laptop

AMD Ryzen 7 Zen 5 CPUs have weak integrated graphics

The Framework 13 is a fully upgradeable. Unlike other manufacturers, Framework have consistently delivered on this mission - releasing a host of upgrades and improvements.

The laptop is very focused on Software Developers. It has a 3 by 2 aspect ratio high resolution bright matte display. This is as good as you're going to get on a 13.5 inch laptop. Its perfect for looking at small code in a variety of conditions. Also, the laptop has excellent Linux support.

Its main downside is that at its price point the laptop feels much cheaper than competitors. On the CPU, the Ryzen 7 Zen 5 CPUs do have better multi-core performance than Intel's competitors, but their integrated GPUs are significantly worse.

For its price we feel there are other laptops that are definitely worth considering over the Framework like the MacBook Pro 14. That laptop is much more powerful, has better battery life, a larger display, a better trackpad, better webcam, better speakers, and feels better built. We've linked some other alternatives you should also consider below. At its current pricing, the Framework 13 should only be purchased by those who value the unique benefits of a Framework by about $300 to $400 USD
